What an incredible evening it was hosting the Geelong Disability Awards alongside the City of Greater Geelong and genU! 🎉
We came together to celebrate the 🔥 brilliance of impactful leaders 💪 who are paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for everyone. My heart is still going, padam padam 💗 for the amazing Tim Harte, Shannon Bowman, Paige Humm, Clare Amies, Anthony Aitken and more!
It was truly fantastic to be part of an event that showcased the integrity and genuineness of people with disabilities in our region. After a successful previous MC gig with genU, it was a joy to collaborate again and create an event that was genuinely inclusive and led by the community.
The depth of connection in this room was clear from the get-go. The atmosphere was buzzing, with a smartly casual audience, who soon revealed beaming faces and cheeky grins. And let’s not forget the incredible speeches, including a group singing led by me as MC (plus my helpful, heckling 'co-host', Reagan) to keep things moving!
Thank you to genU, Jacqui, Jeannie and the City of Greater Geelong for putting on such a memorable event. Here’s to more events filled with generosity and jubilation in Geelong!
